Splitter is passive device to divide the optical signal.
Splitter allows dividing the optical signal as following: 1×2, 1×4, 1×8, 1×16, 1×32, or 1×64. Splitters are available with or without terminations. Splitter is a very important component also in FTTH networks, where the one incoming signal is divided by Splitter and delivered to all apartments in building.
